Abba Yusuf relaxes curfew in Kano by five hours

The Kano government has relaxed the 24-hour curfew in the state by five hours.
On Thursday, Abba Yusuf, governor of Kano, announced a 24-hour curfew after the #EndbadGovernance protest in the state turned violent.
After the incident, the police command in Kano said 269 suspects were arrested for their involvement in the looting and destruction of properties during the protest.
On Friday, Isa Dederi, Kano’s attorney-general and commissioner for justice, said the state government has relaxed the curfew.
The commissioner said the curfew was relaxed from 12 noon to 5 pm.
He added that the curfew was relaxed to allow Muslim worshippers to attend the Juma’at prayers and resumed fully after 5 pm.
