The Fashion Finest Africa show brought the best fashion designers in Africa to Lagos, but it was Elegant Attire’s trend-worthy collection that won the spotlight.
Adeola Esther Olarinde, the visionary behind Elegant Attire, took centre stage with her latest collection, “Divo Man Classic.”
Tailored for young men who are the life of the party and appreciate luxury, this collection boldly redefines male fashion with unconventional pieces like armless Danshiki two-pieces and vintage lace shirts paired with straight cotton pants.
The versatility of the Divo Man Classic collection is undeniable. Whether it’s the intricate lace vintage shirts or the bold hoodie Danshiki with V-neck openings, each piece offers a unique blend of tradition and modernity. The collection’s use of blue, red, white, and brown creates a striking palette that adds depth and richness to the designs.
The durability of these garments is also noteworthy, with Adeola’s meticulous attention to construction ensuring that each piece withstands the test of time. From stitch quality to seam allowances, every detail speaks to her commitment to excellence.
Sustainability is subtly woven into the fabric of this collection. By choosing materials like lace, cotton, and polyester, Adeola not only prioritizes comfort but also minimizes environmental impact.
While there’s room for growth in sustainable practices, her thoughtful selection of fabrics is a commendable step toward eco-conscious fashion. The use of high-quality, breathable fabrics ensured that the garments were not only stylish but also comfortable and suitable for everyday wear.
“The Divo Men Classic was inspired by the need to create something for men who are flamboyant, crave attention, and are perfectionists when it comes to their style and lifestyle,” Adeola Olarinde remarked.
The audience loved the collection, with young men between the ages of 18 and 25 crowding their team to pre-order a piece. Adeola’s expertise as a garment constructor shines through in her ability to innovate and forecast trends.
Her designs push boundaries, offering a fresh take on male fashion that resonates with today’s young, stylish men. The overall construction of the pieces was impeccable, with a clear focus on durability and timelessness.
Adeola Olarinde is not just creating clothes; she’s crafting a new narrative for African men’s fashion.
