Kwankwaso: PDP is already dead… I will win 2027 presidential election

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano, says he will win the 2027 presidential election.
Kwankwaso, who is the national leader of the New Nigeria Political Party (NNPP), spoke in Katsina on Saturday when he inaugurated the party’s secretariat along IBB way in the state.
The former minister of defence came fourth in the 2023 presidential elections as the NNPP candidate.
NAN reports that Kwankwaso said the party is ready to take over the presidency, states and other positions across the country come 2027.
He was in Katsina for a condolence visit to the Yar’adua’s family over the death of their matriarch, Hajiya Dada.
“I wish to remind you that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is already dead, because we were in the party, since they have gone out of the line, we decided to check out,” he said.
He called on Nigerians, especially women and youths not to allow themselves to be “deceived with spaghetti or money during the next elections”.
Kwankwaso also called on the party’s leaders to redouble their commitment to the party’s success in the state and the country as a whole.
He commended them and other state stakeholders for renovating the state secretariat, saying that it is part of preparations for success.
The NNPP leader also pledged to support a little boy, Abubakar Ibrahim of the Yammawa area of the state, who suffers from severe acute malnutrition.
