The national executive committee (NEC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has confirmed Umar Damagum as the party’s National chairman.
The NEC announced Damagum’s confirmation on Monday at its 102nd meeting ahead of the national convention scheduled for November 15 and 16 in Ibadan, Oyo state, capital.
Kamaldeen Ajibade, the PDP’s national legal adviser, administered the oath of office to Damagum.
Before the confirmation, Damagun has served as the acting national chairman of the PDP for over a year.
