‘He’s shown it’s possible to serve selflessly’ — Wole Arisekola celebrates Ladoja at 80
Arisekola, who is also of Ibadan origin, described Ladoja’s life as one of "unblemished, honest, and selfless service to the good people of Oyo State and, by extension, to Nigeria, having served meritoriously as both a Senator and Governor of Oyo state."

Wole Arisekola, the national chairman of the Association of Online Media Practitioners in Nigeria (AMPCON), has felicitated Rasheed Ladoja, a former governor of Oyo state, on his 80th birthday.
Arisekola’s birthday message to Ladoja, who is also the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, is contained in a personally signed statement titled “Ladoja has shown it’s possible to serve honestly, forthrightly, and selflessly in political, private, and traditional capacities.”
The former senator was born on September 25, 1944.
Arisekola, who is also of Ibadan origin, described Ladoja’s life as one of “unblemished, honest, and selfless service to the good people of Oyo State and, by extension, to Nigeria, having served meritoriously as both a Senator and Governor of Oyo state.”
“Happy 80th birthday to a great leader on the attainment of this fresh milestone as an octogenarian,” the AMPCON chairman wrote.
“Your extraordinary life of unblemished service to Oyo State as Governor, Nigeria as a Senator, and Oyo’s traditional institution demonstrates that it is possible to serve the nation and our people honestly, forthrightly, and selflessly.
“Sir, permit me, on this auspicious occasion of your oak jubilee, to thank God for blessing you with good health, wisdom, and a rare sense of leadership and accomplishment.
“I also thank God for making you a rallying point in the progressive march toward achieving a nation of our pride, despite daunting challenges.”
He also described Ladoja as a source of inspiration in Nigeria’s leadership history.
“Sir, accept assurances of the affectionate considerations, esteemed regards, and best wishes of myself, my family, and the entire team of AMPCON as we wish you many more happy years in peace and good health. Congratulations, sir,” Arisekola said.
