The incident occurred on Monday around 11 a.m.

Multiple civilian cars driving from Rann in the Kala Balge LGA towards Gamboru Ngala were affected by a series of explosions  along the route, according to security analyst and counterinsurgency specialist Zagazola Makama.

Makama sais three people sustained varying degrees of injuries in the attack.

The report claims that the convoy went into an area where the IEDs had been planted.

Emergency response teams were deployed  to the scene to carry out an evacuation and provide medical assistance to the wounded.

Security operatives have since cordoned off the affected area and commenced clearance operations to prevent further incidents.

The injured victims have been evacuated to nearby medical facilities where they are receiving treatment.
