Monday Okpebholo, the governor of Edo, has suspended Caulson Oahimire, the executive secretary of the Edo State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, over allegations of grave financial infractions.
Umar Ikhilor, the secretary to the state government (SSG), announced the suspension in a letter issued on Tuesday.
The SSG said a committee has been set up to investigate the allegations against Oahimire and submit its report to the governor.
He added that the most senior offiicial of the agency has been directed to take over from Oahimire while the commiittee carries out its assignment.
