PHOTOS: Ayo Adams tracks Oriogbade’s daughter’s progress three years after scholarship award

Ayo Adams, content creator and journalist, has tracked the progress of Mercy Odeleye, the daughter of Kolapo Odeleye, an Ibadan-based vulcaniser, popularly known as Oriogbade.

Three years ago, Ayo Adams brought Oriogbade into limelight and also secured a scholarship for his daughter at school in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.

The journalist on Monday, accompanied by his crew members visited Faith Kiddies Nursery and Primary School where Mercy was offered scholarship in 2022.

In a post released on his X handle, Ayo Adams reported that Mercy has made significant progress in the school and now in Basic 1.

“In September 2022, I had the privilege of enrolling Oriogbade’s daughter, Mercy Kolapo, at Faith Kiddies Nursery and Primary School in Ibadan,” he wrote.

“This became possible through the kindness of the school’s proprietor, Mr George, who reached out and graciously offered her a scholarship.

“Following Oriogbade’s viral video, Mercy was admitted into the nursery class and her journey has been remarkable. Today, she is in Basic One, and her progress has been inspiring to us.

“I’m deeply grateful to the management of Faith Kiddies School for their unwavering support, and to all the friends, family, and members of the public. Your kindness has made a difference in her life and mine.”
