Abuja Igbo community honours Alex Nwankwo with ‘people’s writer’ title

Alex Nwankwo, a public relations practitioner popularly known as AlexReports, has been conferred with a chieftaincy title by the Igbo community in Karu, Abuja.

Ochendo Chukwudi, the community’s traditional ruler, bestowed Nwanko with the chieftaincy title of Odere Ora (the people’s writer) at the annual Igbo cultural fiesta/new yam festival on Sunday.

Chukwudi said the chieftaincy title is in recognition of Nwankwo’s journalistic strides and promotion of responsible governance through the media space.

Last year, Nwankwo was inducted as an associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).

Before then, he was inducted as a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management (CIISM).

The media personality is also a member of other organisations such as the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), the West African Freelance Journalists Association, and the West African Fashion Council.
