Hakeem Baba-Ahmed resigns as Tinubu’s political adviser

Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the special adviser on politics to President Bola Tinubu, has resigned.
According to Daily Trust, Baba-Ahmed, who is the former spokesperson of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), resigned from Tinubu’s cabinet about two weeks ago.
Quoting sources, the newspaper said the former political adviser hinged his resignation on personal grounds.
The presidency has not issued any official statement on the development, while it is not immediately clear if the resignation has been accepted.
In September 2023. Tinubu appointed Baba-Ahmed as special adviser on politics in the office of the vice-president.
