Jamilu Musa Jauro, a deputy director at the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has been awarded the N15 million prize for the best project at the executive intelligence management course (EIMC) 17, 2024, hosted by the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS).
Fabian Benjamin, the JAMB spokesperson, said in a statement on Sunday that Jauro was the overall best participant in the EIMC 17 project and has been honoured as a fellow of the Security Institute (fsi) on December 7.
The theme for EIMC 17 is ‘Artificial intelligence, security, and emerging economies in Africa: Challenges and prospects’.
The course attracted participants from 28 Nigerian agencies and seven from five African countries, including Chad, Côte d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Ghana, and Rwanda.
Participants, who are senior public servants at the deputy director level or its equivalent in the armed forces, will undergo a rigorous 10-month programme at the institute.
Successful candidates will be awarded the fellow security institute (fsi) designation, contingent upon their performance in learning and character.
The course aims to equip participants with the knowledge necessary to tackle complex security challenges in their respective agencies and countries, while also fostering inter-agency synergy and international collaboration.
