NECO registrar elected as member of AEAA executive council

Dantani Wushishi, the registrar of the National Examinations Council (NECO), has been elected to the executive council of the Association for Educational Assessment in Africa (AEAA).
A statement by Azeez Sani, the spokesperson of NECO, said the registrar was elected as the West Africa representative in the council at the just concluded 40th conference of the association held at the Century City conference centre and Hotels, Cape Town, South Africa.
Wushishi will serve in the eight-member executive council with members drawn from other examination bodies across Africa.
The AEAA was established in 1982 to promote co-operation among examining and assessment bodies on the continent.
The association is saddled with harmonisation of educational assessment in the African continent.
This year’s conference has the theme: “Reimaging education assessment in the age of multiple dimensions of learning in a global society”.
The conference which started on August 19 was ended on August 23 with over 21 active primary members as well as other public and private institutions and organisations from across the world in attendance.
