The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecast a period of thunderstorms and rainfall across several parts of Nigeria from Sunday, June 8, to Tuesday, June 11.

In a weather outlook issued on Saturday, NiMet noted that wet weather is expected in several areas, including the north, north-central, and south regions.

NiMEt said similar weather conditions are expected in the north-central zone, with gloomy mornings in places like the federal capital territory (FCT) and in states like Niger, Nasarawa, Kwara, Kogi, Benue, and Plateau, giving way to rain and thunderstorms later in the day.

In the south, NiMet predicts a rather calm morning with cloudy skies that will eventually give way to rain in many states around the area.
