Osun guber election: Our people will not return to the years of hardship

BY ADENIYI ADENIJI

The record of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun state is well known to the people.

For 12 long years, our state endured severe hardship. Workers struggled under half-salary payments, pensions were delayed, and contributory pension deductions of 7.5 percent from civil servants and the matching 77.5 percent expected from government were not remitted as required.

This left many Osun workers without the security they labored for.

The people remember those years when both the “seed and the harvest” were taken away.

But when Governor Ademola Adeleke assumed office, he made a commitment to restore hope, dignity, and trust in governance.

And within his first year, many of these long-standing issues were addressed with sincerity and transparency.

Today, civil servants, pensioners, and ordinary citizens can testify to the difference.

Osun people know their true friends in politics. They understand those who seek power for service, and those who seek power for personal gain. No amount of propaganda, intimidation, or thuggery will deceive the people again. Osun is not returning to Egypt.

Those who think they can force their way back into power through desperation, broken promises, or old habits of impunity will meet a determined electorate. Osun people are wiser, stronger, and fully resolved to protect their future.

By the grace of God Almighty, the state will not be handed back to politicians driven by self-interest. Osun has chosen light over darkness, progress over regression, accountability over waste.

Imole till 2030.

Whether APC likes it or not, the will of the people will stand. Adeleke 2026 is a winning ticket on any platform, Accord or ADP, Imole is people-powered, and the people of Osun are marching forward, never backward.

God bless Osun State. Osun a gbe wa o.
