Former President Muhammadu Buhari dies in London hospital

Former President Muhammadu Buhari is dead. He was 82 years.
Garba Shehu, Buhari’s spokesperson, confirmed his death in a statement issued on Sunday.
The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London. May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin,” the statement reads.
The former president died in a London hospital where he has gone for medical examination. He was reportedly taken into the intensive care unit (ICU) after fallen sick in London.
Before he went to London for treatment, the late Buhari was last seen in the public in April when he hosted Akinwunmi Adesina, the former president of the African Development Bank (AfDB).
