NAF airstrikes kill over 25 terrorists in Yobe, Borno

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) says more than 25 terrorists were killed during a coordinated night operation in Bula, Yobe State, and the Banki axis of Borno.
In a statement on Saturday, NAF spokesperson Air Vice Marshal Ehimen Ejodame said the September 18 air raids followed intelligence provided by ground troops.
He explained that a mix of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) assets and strike aircraft tracked the movement of several terrorist groups north of Banki.
“Real-time updates were relayed to ground forces and base operations, enabling synchronised action,” Ejodame said.
The strike aircraft carried out three successive precision attacks on the terrorists’ routes and assembly points, “effectively neutralising more than 25 fighters,” he added.
According to the NAF spokesperson, post-strike surveillance showed ground troops holding their defensive positions with no further threats observed.
Ejodame described the operation as proof of the Air Force’s commitment to supporting ground troops, denying terrorists freedom of action, and sustaining security efforts across Nigeria’s North-East.
