VIDEO: Wike meets suspended Rivers assembly lawmakers in UK

Nyesom Wike, minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), has met with the suspended members of the Rivers state house of assembly.
In a video shared by Lere Olayinka, the media adie to the minister, Wike hosted the suspended lawmakers for dinner in the United Kingdom (UK) on Monday.
The FCT minister had on Sunday met with some of his political associates in Port Harcourt, Rivers state capital, on Sunday.
“Yesterday, the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, hosted Rivers State House of Assembly members who are in the United Kingdom for Legislative Capacity Building, to a dinner. Wike left Nigeria on Sunday night after visiting his political friends and associates in Port Harcourt, Rivers State,” Olayinka wrote on his Facebook page.
The Times of Abuja reported that the lawmakers were suspended by President Bola Tinubu after declaring a state of emergency in Rivers due to the protracted political crisis in the state.
Tinubu suspended Siminalayi Fubara, the Rivers governor, for six months.
The crisis had affected the lawmakers and the entire political structure in Rivers.
