Nigerian actress Atinuke Remilekun Kareem, popularly known as Atinuke Kareem, has died after a prolonged battle with breast cancer.
Her death was announced on Tuesday afternoon by Owolabi Ajasa, chairman of the Ogun state chapter of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).
Atinuke was said to have sought financial assistance a few months ago to support her treatment.
The actress had also expressed gratitude to her family and TAMPAN for their financial support during her illness.
Her death has since drawn reactions from colleagues and members of the entertainment industry, who are mourning the loss of the actress.
