Tinubu returns to Nigeria after attending Pope Leo XIV’s inauguration in Rome

President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, after attending the inauguration of Pope Leo XIV in Rome.
The president who arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at about 6:50 pm on Tuesday was received by George Akume, secretary to the government of the federation (SSG), Nyesom Wike, minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), among other top government officials.
Tinubu left Nigeria on Saturday to attend the Pope’s inauguration following an invitation by the Vatican.
While in Rome, Tinubu said it was historic to be the Nigerian president when a new Pope was being inaugurated.
He called on Nigerians to use their diversity for the country’s stability and rapid development.
The president also urged leaders at all levels to work for the betterment of the citizens.
