Ogunesan congratulates Oroyinyin on emergence as Oyo Muslim Community vice-chairman
Olawumi Ogunesan, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Oyo north, has congratulated Lawal Sulaiman Oroyinyin, a retired commissioner of police and former chairman of the Muslim Community, Saki west, on his emergence as vice-chairman of the Muslim Community, Oyo state.
In a congratulatory message, Ogunesan described Oroyinyin’s emergence as “a round peg in a round hole”, saying his wealth of experience, distinguished service and leadership qualities make him well suited for the position.
She commended Oroyinyin for his contributions during his tenure as chairman of the Muslim Community, Saki west, where she said he introduced a new dimension to the administration of the community and recorded achievements that positively changed its narrative.
Ogunesan also highlighted Oroyinyin’s career in the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), where he rose to the rank of commissioner of police before becoming chairman of the Muslim Community, Saki west.
She said his career demonstrated his commitment to leadership, discipline, responsibility and service to humanity.
“Alhaji Lawal Sulaiman Oroyinyin is a man whose life and career speak volumes about discipline, humility and dedicated service,” she said.
“From his distinguished service as a Commissioner of Police to his remarkable achievements as Chairman of the Muslim Community, Saki West, he has consistently demonstrated that leadership is about service, sacrifice and impact.”
The APC candidate also praised Oroyinyin for maintaining a modest lifestyle despite his accomplishments and positions of authority, describing him as a role model for younger generations.
“Beyond his achievements and positions, what gives me great joy is his simplicity and humility. He has remained a man of modest disposition, and this is a quality our young people can emulate,” Ogunesan added.
“His life is a testament to the fact that one can attain great heights without losing the values of humility, integrity and service.”
Ogunesan expressed confidence that Oroyinyin would bring his experience, wisdom and leadership capacity to bear in his new role.
She also expressed optimism that his leadership would strengthen unity, peaceful coexistence and development within the Muslim community across Oyo State.
“On behalf of my family, supporters and the good people of Oyo North, I warmly congratulate Alhaji Lawal Sulaiman Oroyinyin on this well-deserved elevation. I have no doubt that he will deliver excellently in this new assignment,” she said.
Ogunesan prayed that Allah would grant Oroyinyin wisdom, sound health, strength and guidance to succeed in the new role.
